What Australian sheepskin means at WAYSOFT
For WAYSOFT's classic slipper, closed-heel slipper, and sheepskin boot styles, Australian sheepskin is used through the interior. Product pages show the construction for each individual style.
The Cable Knit Mule and Soft Knit Scuff are intentionally mixed-material products. They use sheepskin at the footbed and collar, with soft faux fur at the inner instep. That choice creates a lighter price point and is stated clearly on each product page.
How it feels over time
Fresh wool feels full and can make a new slipper feel snug. With wear, the wool compresses around the foot and the fit becomes more personal.
Compression is not the same as the material disappearing. Gentle brushing and airing can help lift the surface when it looks flattened. The joined hide gives sheepskin natural structure, while construction, use, and care determine how long a finished product lasts.
Where sheepskin works best
Sheepskin slippers are especially useful on hardwood, tile, and other cold indoor floors. A practical sole can also handle a quick dry step outside, but comfort footwear is not technical rain or snow gear.
